As the health care debate in the United States continues to rage, the US House of Representatives has passed the controversial health care bill that would offer a “public option” for Americans.

With a slim majority, the Democrat-led House voted 220-215 to punish the American people with ridiculously high prices and threats by the government of imprisonment if they did not pay this tax increase. 39 Democrats who saw the light voted against this monstrosity while 1 lone Republican rebelled against freedom to betray his nation and voted Yea. As the roll call vote ended, Democrats yelled in high-spirits and most of them were exuberant. Lead by the vixen from San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi, they gathered just enough votes to smash the opposition and lose jobs for all Americans.

However, the bill was not passed with ease. Leading up to the debate of the Republican amendment, Democrats wasted hours of time by putting a century-old, senile man in charge of the House. As Rep. John Dingell made rulings on the floor, members seemed more and more confused, especially with the delaying tactics used by liberal Democrats (repeatedly asking for unanimous consent requests). Another complication was that the GOP committed legislative suicide by voting for the anti-abortion amendment to the bill, which just made it more likely to be voted for by the conservative Democrats and pass.

As the second trillion dollar spent by legislators, many citizens are beginning to become enraged by the enormous and overwhelming deficit spending by congressional Democrats. A week ago, the electorate in Virginia and New Jersey showed their contempt for the spenders by electing both Republican governors with wide margins; in one, a double digit lead. This spells great trouble for the so-called “Blue Dog” democrats who represent conservative districts in the 2010 election, which may turn into a rout and give the GOP a clean sweep.
